The University tennis team scored another clean sweep yesterday afternoon, defeating M. I. T. on the Divinity Courts 9 to 0. The second tennis team was not so successful at Andover, where it lost to the schoolboys by the close score of 4 to 5, thus losing to Andover for the first time in two years.
Singles Ingraham (H) defeated Russell (M. I. T.) 6-3, 4-6, 6-2; Briggs (H) defeated Broardhurst (M. I. T.) 6-0, 6-1; Whitbeck (H) defeated Hink (M. I. T.) 6-2, 6-4; Perkins (H) defeated Peck (M. I. T.) 6-1, 6-4; Cummings (H) defeated Peterson (M. I. T.) 6-3, 6-1; Lenhart (H) defeated Eddy (M. I. T.) 6-0, 6-2.
Doubles Ingraham and Whitbeck (H) defeated Russell and Broadhurst (M. I. T.) 7-6, 6-1; Briggs and Perkins (H) defeated Rink and Peck (M. I. T.) 6-3, 6-3; Cummings and Lenhart (H) defeated Peterson and Eddy (M. I. T.) 6-3, 6-1.
