A million-dollar ten-story hotel will be built on the site of St. Paul's Church, Mt. Auburn and Holyoke streets, according to an unconfirmed announcement made last night by a Boston newspaper. Work will begin immediately, according to the account.

"Harvard University does not own the property on which St. Paul's used to stand, and has no control over building in that area," declared Arthur L. Endicott '94, bursar of the University, last night. This statement disposes of the prevalent rumor that Harvard owns or controls all the real property from the river to the Yard.

E. N. Wyner Is Owner

The hotel, which is being built by Edward N. Wyner '16, Boston real estate dealer, will be primarily residential, although some rooms will be available for transients. On the ground floor will be a restaurant open to the public. The plans for the building have already been approved and orders given for building the foundation immediately. If present plans are carried through, the hotel will be ready for occupancy by February 1, 1926.

N. Russell Cazmay, Cambridge realtor and president of the Harvard Square Business Men's Association, will be in charge of the hotel when it is completed. It will be the second hotel in Cambridge, the only other one being Riverbank Court.
