INGRAHAM RANKED FOURTH OF NEW ENGLAND'S NET STARS

N. W. Niles '09 Rates Second and L. P. Gardner '10, Seventh

In the New England singles ranking the University is represented by three graduates and one undergraduate. N. W. Niles '09 leads all others except L. B. Rice of Newton, a Yale graduate who is rated slightly ahead of him.

W. W. Ingraham '25, captain of this year's tennis team, is ranked number four, while L. P. Gardner Jr. '10, of Brookline is given seventh place. Close behind him, at number 11, is Horace Taylor '07 of Cambridge, for several years prominent in New England tennis. Richard Harte '17, three letter man while in college, and G. C. Caner '17, who jointly held the Intercollegiate Doubles Championship in 1916 are not ranked, again because of insufficient data.

Watson Washburn '14, for a score of years prominent in the American tennis world, is given sixth place in the national list. He leads such prominent stars as Harvey Snodgrass, Lucien E. Williams the former Yale player, and Robert Kinsey. Washburn has also shared the national doubles championship with Richard Norris Williams.
