The annual competition for the Freshman class song opens today according to an announcement by Dr. A. W. Wright '17, who will have charge of the competition this year.
Every member of the class of 1928 is eligible to compete. One man may write both the words and music, or two or more may combine. The song should be not longer than eight lines, preferable without a refrain, Dr. Wright announced. It ought to have a light, catchy, easily sung air in the nature of a football song.
The song will be sung at all the concerts which the Freshman Glee Club will give during the year and used as the prize song of the annual Jubilee competition between the three Hall choruses.
All songs will be handed in to Dr. Wright at his room in James Smith C-21. The competition will end on February 20.
