A 7-2 victory over the Phillips Academy at Andover yesterday yesterday gave the Freshman tennis team another victory to add to their rapidly increasing list. With the exception of the sixth singles and the first doubles, Harvard won every match.

The playing of Lenhart and Captain Gordon, Harvard's two ranking players, was the feature of the afternoon. Evans, leader of the Andover team, who is number seven in the National Junior ranking, and who had not previously been beaten this year, fell before the swift and accurate drives and powerful serves of Lenhart after a three set struggle.

The Freshman matches played yesterday resulted as follows:

Singles,--P. N. Lenhart (H) defeated Evans (A), 6-4, 5-7, 6-1; Lewis Gordon (H) defeated Reily (A), 6-2, 6-1; Stephen Thompson (H) defeated Pope (A), 6-3, 6-2; H. B. Jackson (H) defeated Ward (A), 6-8, 6-3, 6-4; Torrence Parker Jr. (H) defeated Goodwin (A), 6-1, 6-1; and Tolman (A) defeated E. D. Pratt (H), 6-2, 3-6, 10-8.

Doubles,--Evans and Reily (A) defeated Lewis Gordon and T. L. Kingsbury (H), 8-6, 6-2; P. M. Lenhart and E. D. Pratt (H) defeated Pope and Francis (A), 6-2, 6-2; and Stephen Thomson and Torrence Parker Jr. (H) defeated Goodwin and Dickson (A), 7-5, 7-9, 6-3.
