WITH ONE-WAY SIGNS POSTED POLICE BEGIN ARRESTS TODAY

Signs enforcing the one-way ordinance on Linden, Holyoke and Plympton Streets, were posted Thursday and yesterday, after a delay of over a month since the ordinance was passed. The Cambridge police force had decided not to enforce the regulation until the signs were put up, end yesterday it was again decided, according to information obtained at Police Headquarters to be lenient, this time until the signs were all posted. Consequently, no arrests were made yesterday, but the officers have been instructed to make up for lost time by strict enforcement from now on.
