A gift of 70,000 square feet of land to the University was announced last night. Situated at the corner of Avenue Louis Pasteur and Longwood Avenue, the land is just opposite the Medical School and is intended to be the site of the new medical dormitory.
The Medical School Alumni Association has begun a campaign to make a dormitory possible and this gift, which comes from the trustees of the Francis Estate, will mark the first step in the campaign. Subscriptions to cover the cost of the building are being raised and the plans for the construction are already begun.
