If it is decided that Legendre of Princeton is eligible for another year of University football, Earl Evans '25 and Milstead, Stevens, and Neale of Yale will also be eligible," declared Major F. W. Moore '93 when questioned about the recent action taken by the Princeton authorities in permitting Legandre, fullback of last season, to play again next fall.
The problem is one which is not covered by the three year rule. All of these players played on their University teams when Freshmen before transfering to their present Universities. Since their departure the three year rule has been adopted by their former colleges, but with the statement that men then in college, who had played on University teams as Freshmen, would be eligible until they had played four years. The Princeton authorities state that as long as Legendre would have been allowed another year of play at Tulane University, he can have another year at Princeton.
There is no hard feeling between Harvard, Yale, and Princeton over the question," Major Moore added. "It will be settled by a meeting of representatives from each of these Universities."
