Tomorrow afternoon at 3.30 o'clock and tomorrow evening at 8.30 the choruses of the Harvard Glee Club and the Radcliffe Choral Society in combination with the Boston Symphony Orchestra will present Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at Symphony Hall. The proceeds of the concert are to be devoted to the Boston Symphony Pension Fund.
This will be the first time in years that the Ninth Symphony has been given in Boston. It is one of the most famous of Beethoven's compositions and was written some ten years after he became deaf. The choruses come in the latter part of the symphony.
Four soloists will also sing at the concert. They are Marie Sundelius, so prario; Marjorie Squires, contralto; Fred Patton, baritone, and Charles Stratton, bass.
