Sherwood Eddy of New York, world traveller and former Y. M. C. A. secretary, who has just returned from a trip through Asia and Europe, will give a series of two talks at the University on the evenings of March 18 and 19. Mr. Eddy comes under the auspices of the Harvard Christian Association and the Union, and will speak at 7.30 o'clock in the Union Living Rooms on the first night, and at the same hour at Peabody Ball, Phillips Brooks House, on the second. Though the subjects of his talks are as yet undecided they should have a good deal to do with his experiences in Russia, Germany, the Ruhr, Japan, China, and India. He will in all likelihood touch upon political, social and industrial life in these countries, and bring in matters of religion and moral peace.

Mr. Eddy took his degree of Ph.B. at Yale in 1891, and has been awarded honorary degrees of M.A. by both Yale and Wooster College. From 1896 to 1911 he worked among students in India in connection with the y. M. C. A., and in 1911 was appointed Y. M. C. A. secretary for Asia. Among the books he is author of are "The Awakening of India," 1911; "The Students of Asia," 1915; and "With Our Soldiers in France," 1917.
