HAYNE AND BRADFORD SAVE SHUT OUT SCORE

Crimson Wrestlers in 175-Pound and Unlimited Classes Are Only Bright Spots in 17-6 Defeat by Yale

The clear-cut victory of F. B. Hayne '26 over Tuttle in the 175-pound class and the work of C. H. Bradford '26 against the 200-pound Guernsey were the only bright spots for the Crimson Saturday evening when the University Wrestlers bowed to Yale for the eighth successive time. An audience of over 500 saw the aggressive Elis capture four decisions and a fall for a 17 to 6 verdict.

Hayne's tremendous strength and Bradford's tenacity were all that saved Harvard from a whitewash. Out-weighed by 20 pounds, the latter fought his big opponent to a standstill in the 9 minute bout, and, clinging to Guernsey like a bulldog, won the overtime decision by a close margin.

The summary:

115-Pound Class--Finley (Y) defeated B. J. Goldberg '26 (H) by decision.

125-Pound Class--Winnick (Y) defeated Carl Stearns '26 (B) by fall.
