FRESHMEN DOWN GREEN AND KEEP SLATE CLEAN

First Year Sextet Gains 7-4 Verdict Over Dartmouth 1927--Must Improve to Win Yale Game This Saturday

The Freshman team that defeated the Dartmouth 1927 sextet 7-4 on Saturday will neeed to show more speed this coming Saturday, when it meets Yale, if it expects to keep its record clean. Although the Crimson stickmen out-played the Green, the latter out-skated the Harvard first year team whenever they got the puck.

The Harvard puck-chasers showed a lack of coordination in front of the enemy's goal, whereas three of the four Green scores came as the result of skilful passing. The latter's first goal, however, which came early in the second period with the score 3-0 in favor of the Cambridge team, was a slow, gliding shot by Douplin. Twenty seconds later the second Hanoverian goal got by Flood.

Crimson Team Scores Twice

With the final period nearly over Hardy shot a goal and his team seemed about to get the other that was needed to tie the score, but the Crimson came back with two more in quick succession, clinching the game.
