Union Doubles Go By Default

W. P. Dixon '25 and G. D. Debevoise '26 won the doubles of the Union Tennis Tournament by the default of G. H. Perkins '26 and Parke Cummings '25 yesterday afternoon in the final round.

Four sets had already been played, two of which went to Dixon and Debevoise at 6-1, 6-1, and two of which went to Perkins and Cummings at 6-3, 9-7, when the latter team was forced to withdraw in the fifth set with the score 3-3. The reason for the default was not announced.

The match was a brilliant exhibition of tennis. Dixon's stroking proved to be a decisive factor in spite of the consistent net play of Cummings.
