No upsets marred the course of the Union Tennis Tournament yesterday, during its progress into the fifth and sixth rounds. All of the seeded players, with toe exception of Bondi, are still undefeated.
In the singles matches the closest fought was that between Pratt and Perkins, in which Perkins won 7-5, 6-4. Perkins, a seeded player, has been playing well throughout the tournament. Pratt, although not a seeded play, defeated Bondi last week 6-2, 6-3, and fans won the honor of being the first to defeat a seeded man. The match between Pratt and Perkins was looked on with considerable interest today.
The remaining matches proceeded as expected, Gordon defeating Range, 6-2, 6-1, and Allen defeating Lake, 6-1, 6-3.
