Cosmopolitanism at Harvard has dwindled, according to figures furnished by W. B. Macomber '26, Foreign Student Secretary of Phillips Brooks House. While 43 countries were represented in the University last year, only 34 appear in this year's list.
There is not a continent on the globe that has not its representatives at Harvard. Australia sends one, while South America has two representatives. Central America has 20 men at Harvard, Africa 3, Asia 72, and Europe 71, making a total of 179. These figures, however, are not as yet complete. Of the 34 nationalities at Harvard, half are from Europe, though only one third of the total number of men are from that continent.
