COMING CONCERTS

This evening in Sanders Theatre, a concert by Roland Hayes, the young negro tenor, who has won well deserved applause at home and abroad. His program includes classics, German lieder and negro spirituals.

Thursday evening in Jordan Hall, a recital by Crystal Waters, mezzo-soprano.

Friday afternoon and Saturday evening in Symphony Hall, the third pair of concerts by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Serge Koussevitzky conducting. The program embraces P. E. Bach's Concerto in D Major for Orchestra, Moussorgsky's Prelude to the Opera Khoruntehina Rimsky-Korsakov's Scherzo "The Flight of the Bumble Bee", Prokorier's Scythi an Suite and Brahms's Fourth Symphony.

Friday evening in Jordan Hall, a song recital by Tom Williams, baritone. He will sing songs by Buononcini, Chausson, Srauss, Spalding, Griffes, Glazounow, Gretchaninor and Davies.

Sunday afternoon in Symphony Hall, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Mr. van Hoogstraten, will play Strauss's "Till Eulenspiegel" and "Salome's Dance", Beethoven's "Eroica" Symphony and Tschaikovsky's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, No. 2, with Yolanda Mero, well known pianiste, playing the solo part. Mr. van Hoopstraten gave a notable reading here last autumn of the "Pathetique" Symphony, the first concert of the Steinert series.
