FRESHMEN SHOW FIGHT IN 9-2 VICTORY AT ARENA

ZARAKOV DOES STAR WORK FOR FRESHMEN AT CENTER

Playing a fast and fighting game, the Freshman hockey team swamped the Phillips Andover Academy on Saturday at the Arena by a 9-2 score.

It was the scrapping spirit of the first year men which enabled them to so completely humble the schoolboys. Starting off at a slow pace in the first period the Crimson men gathered speed and drove back all attempts to score. The team was quick in every way. The forward line brought the puck up to the Andover defence, dodged cleverly, and let drive frequently at the blue's net. Moreover the Freshmen kept their eyes on the shot, followed it up, and gained several opportunities for a second try at the goal.

Zarakov, at center, was easily the star of the game. He was able to pick the puck out of a scrimmage quickly and zig zag up the rink to bring it within shooting distance, thus opening the way to several of the nine Freshman goals.

Coach Dempsey tried a number of substitutes and these men filled their positions as well as the first string players, holding Andover to one goal and making four scores themselves.
