This evening, in Symphony Hall, Miss Elsie Janis, diseuse, actress, and singer will give a second recital. At the first, both audience and critics were enthusiastic over Miss Janis's genuine skill and magnetism. Doubtless she will be as warmly welcomed again.
Tomorrow evening in Jordan Hall, the Flonzaley quartet, now the preeminent quartet of the world, succeeding to the Kneisels, will play some "Music for stringed instruments" by Mr. C. M. Loeffier, a Haydn quartet, and one by the Russian Taneiew.
Saturday afternoon the admirable and far-famed Maier and Pattison will return to Jordan Hall in a concert of music for two pianos.
Sunday afternoon brings "Samson and Delilah" to Symphony Hall with Mr. Whitehill and Mme. Matzenauer as soloists.
Sunday afternoon, also, the Pierian Sodality Orchestra will give its annual concert at the Copley Theatre, when it will play pieces by Messrs. Ballantine and Newell, both members of the University.
