Never before have the numbers exceeded 900, and last year's opening day registration for the class of 1926 was 837. In 1921 when there was only one day for registration, the opening day figure was 856, which has been the record up to the present.

Of the incoming Freshmen 28 entered by transfer from other colleges, and 819 entered from preparatory or high schools either by examinations, or without examination on the basis of their school record. Exclusive of the Freshman class 54 students transferred to Harvard from other colleges, and are now provisional members of the Sophomore and Junior classes.

The Medical School has reached its limit of admissions, the quota of 500 students for the four classes having already been filled.
