Five additional acres of Soldiers Field were filled and reclaimed this summer to make additional soccer and lacrosse fields, and the land inside of the new track has been partly developed to make ready for 15 new tennis courts which will be ready for play in the spring.
Work on the new baseball cage, which was given by an anonymous donor in May, will not begin until next spring. Its location will probably be at the eastern end of the present line of tennis courts on Soldiers Field.
