LIGHT WORK MARKS LAST DAYS BEFORE YALE MEET

CRIMSON ATHLETES HAVE SHOWN STEADY IMPROVEMENT

The principal objective of the University track season will be reached on Saturday when the Crimson squad will encounter the Yale athletes at New Haven. Because of the trip to England at the end of the month the Yale contest has been delayed several weeks this year in order to give the men of both squads an additional incentive for steady work, and careful training. The extra days of practice will give the coaches plenty of time to bring their squads into top form for the dual meet.

Yesterday Coach Martin put his athletes through a light practice, and he will probably do the same again today and tomorrow. The Crimson track men have had some immediate objective for each week of practice this spring since the beginning of the season, and have shown a steady improvement in each of their contests. They will, however, enter the meet Saturday with the odds somewhat against them and will have to go to the limit to make a successful showing against the powerful Yale team.
