BUSINESS COMPETITION FOR 1926 OPENS TONIGHT

NO WORK TO BE REQUIRED DURING EXAMINATION PERIOD

The third business competition of the Crimson for men of the class of 1926 will begin this evening at a meeting to be held at 7 o'clock in the Crimson Building at 14 Plympton Street. This competition is of the customary duration, eleven weeks, five in the remainder of this term and the other six after the opening of College in the fall; but during the two week examination period practically no work will be required. Furthermore, no candidate will be required to return early next fall.

At the outset of the competition the work for the candidates will be divided between soliciting advertising and clerical work, this latter requiring no previous experience.

At the meeting J. R. P. Nason '24, business manager, will tell the men what is required in the competition and the best method of attacking the work. H. N. Pratt '24, advertising manager, will close the meeting by pointing out the best methods of soliciting advertising.

Regardless of the opportunity of making a position on the editorial staff, the candidate, by soliciting advertising in Boston, and, its environs, can build up many friendships, which will prove of value in the future. The experience in meeting business men and seeing their methods is also of considerable value.
