Speedy passing and fast shooting were the chief reasons for the victory of the powerful Hobart lacrosse team yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field. Despite strong defensive work of Captain Rouillard, Daggett, and Norton, the University players were outplayed in the first half by the score of 6-0, and eventually lost the game 9-1. The game was the second victory in five contests for the visitors. Captain Gasper, Gorman, and Wilson were the starts of the game.
The summary is as follows: Score, Hobart 9, Harvard 1. Goals, Cole 2, Snyder 3, Bowers, Gasper, Allison, Thibodeau, Thomas. Substitutions.--Harvard, Lomax for Snedeker, Welsh for Merriam, Crane for Tobin, K. Black for Ehre, Tobin for Welsh, Greenman for Tobin; Hobart, Allison for Cole, Buish for Bowers.
