Alumni, members and friends of the Andover Theological Seminary, the Divinity School and the new Theological School will meet today, tomorrow, and Thursday for the celebration of what is called "Visitation Week", during which plans and problems of the Theological School will be discussed, and a series of lectures on religious subjects will be held.
The main event on today's program is the annual Dudleian lecture on "Natural Religion--Consciousness and its Implications", by Professor James B. Pratt, G. '99, at Emerson D at 8 o'clock in the evening. The celebration, however, will officially open at 2.30 o'clock when Dean W. L. Sperry of the Theological School will conduct the opening conference and tell of "The New School and its Program". At 3.30 o'clock the book review hour will be held while at 4.30 o'clock the various alumni will meet. The Divinity School alumni will meet in Divinity Chapel while the Andover alumni will meet in the Farrar Room of Andover Hall. At 5.30 o'clock there will be a chapel service in Divinity Chapel which will be followed by a dinner at the Harvard Union.
Tomorrow the program will be practically repeated except that in place of the Dudleian lecture there will be the Ingersoll lecture on the "Immortality of Man" which will be given by the Reverend George E. Horr, president of the Newton Theological Institution. This will also take place in Emerson D at 8 o'clock. In the afternoon, however, Professor Talcott Williams, professor of Journalism, Emeritus, at Columbia University will talk on "Lands Lost to Christianity--Their Demand on Missions" at 2.30 o'clock while at 3.30 o'clock Dr. George La Piana will speak on "The Democratic Ideals in the History of the Church". Both of these lectures will be held in Andover Chapel.
