RAPS "DEMONSTRATIONS OF IMPORTANCE" IN COLLEGES

Mr. William E. Robson of the London School of Economics gave the principal talk at the Liberal Club's discussion with the three visiting foreign students last night. Robson compared the present day Fabian Society, composed of men like Sidney Watt and Robert Tawney, to the small group headed by John Stuart Mill which changed the whole trend of thought in England after the Napoleonic Wars.

"Too much attention is given to outward demonstrations of importance in the colleges of this country", said Mr. Robson, "and not enough to hard, penetrating study".
