About 50 members of the Dramatic Club will travel at the end of this week to New York City where they will, in the Comedy Theatre, 110 West Forty-first Street, present during the spring vacation eight performances of the two plays which they produced in Brattle Hall last night and the night before. On the first three nights of next week and on Wednesday afternoon, the club will give Sacha Guitry's "Beranger", which was produced last spring, while on the last three nights of the run and on Saturday afternoon their performance will be "The Life of Man", by Leonid Andreyev.
Applications for tickets for these presentations may be left at the Cooperative, Leavitt and Peirce's, or the Dramatic Club office at Room 12 of the Union. These applications, which are to be accompanied by cash or a check, will be filled, at the regular New York theatre prices, on Friday.
Plan to Broadcast Plays
At the initial performance next week of each of the plays, permission has been given by the club to have the speeches broadcasted by wireless, which will be done from station W J Z of the Westinghouse Electric Company in Newark, N. J.
The venture of the Dramatic Club in making this trip has occasioned much interest in New York dramatic circles, and many prominent men connected with theatrical work have given it their cordial approval. Among these are Mr. Winthrop Ames '95, Mr. Lewis Beach '13, Mr. R. C. Benchley '12, Mr. Heywood Broun, Mr. Owen Davis, Mr. R. E. Jones '10, Mr. Kenneth Macgowan '11, Mr. Percy MacKaye '97. Mr. Eugene O'Neill, Mr. Hubert Osborne, Mr. H. T. Parker, Mr. Edward Sheldon '07, Mr. Lee Simonson '09, and Mr. Maurice Wertheim '06.
