Coach Martin has definitely decided to send a squad of University track men to Philadelphia to participate in the eleventh annual indoor meet of the Meadowbrook Club on Saturday night. In addition to a one-mile relay team, whose composition has not yet been announced, several University representatives will compete individually.
Captain J. W. Burke '23, who won the 600 and 1000-yard races in the triangular meet with Cornell and Dartmouth on February 24, will run in the Meadowbrook invitation 660-yard race for the President's Cup. In this event Captain Burke will meet formidable opposition, since Hellfrich, Penn State. American national champion in the half-mile, Eby, formerly of the University of Pennsylvania and a star of the 1920 American Olympic team, Captain Campbell of Yale, and Driscoll, former Boston College Captain and national champion in the quarter-mile, are all scheduled to run in this race.
It is almost certain that C. A. C. Eastman '24, who won the shot put in the meet with Cornell and Dartmouth, and who placed second in the same event at the indoor intercollegiate meet in New York on Saturday night, will make the trip. C. R. Hauers '23 will probably represent the University in the hurdles.
The annual University winter track carnival, which was previously announced for tomorrow, has been postponed until Thursday, March 15.
