The Freshman basketball team defeated Boston Y. M. C. A. for the second time this season by the score of 21-13 in a game played last night at the Y. M. C. A. The Freshmen started slowly and the first half ended with the score 10-5 in favor of Y. M. C. A. Time after time the Freshmen took the ball down the floor only to fall in scoring. In the last few minutes of the half, however. Smith got one field goal, the only one made by the Freshmen that half.
The second half started well for the Crimson players; the game speeded up, and the Freshmen at last seemed to hit their stride. Jones starred with five goals from the field. While the Freshmen were scoring, the Y. M. C. A. offense proved ineffective, although once or twice a short rally seemed about to bring them to the front again. These did not succeed and they scored only three points in this half. Simonds led their scoring with three field goals and five scores after fouls.
The summary follows: Score, Harvard '26 21, Y. M. C. A. 13. Goals from floor, Jones 6, Smith, Rauh, Simonds 3, Jones. Goals after fouls, Smith 6, Skilling, Simonds 5, Referee, M. W. Souders. Time of halves, 20 minutes.
