1926 HOCKEY TEAM MEETS ST. MARK'S AT SOUTHBORO

From Season's Record Freshmen Should Win Seventh Straight Victory of Year -- Schoolboys Have Shown Strength at Times

HARVARD 1926  ST. MARK'S Howe, l.w.  r.w., Tudor Harding, c.  c., Hamlin Henderson, r.w.  l.w., Crawford Pratt, l.d.  r.d., Steward Martin, r.d.  l.d., Simpkins Bradford, g.  g., Pepper Time, three 15-minute periods.

The Freshman hockey team will journey to Southboro this afternoon to meet the St. Mark's School sextet. Although the Freshmen are the favorites, the schoolboys have not yet been beaten and are expected to furnish strong opposition. The entire Freshman squad will go to Southboro, hoping to win their seventh straight victory.

With a nucleus of four letter-men from last year's team to build on, Coach Lawrence of St. Mark's has developed a team which is the leader now for the private school hockey championship St. Mark's won from Milton Academy 2-1, while Coach Angier's men defeated the Academy team 5-1. The schoolboys have also defeated Middlesex 3-1, Huntington 2-0, and tied Newton High 4-1. Captain Steward, at right defense, has been the mainstay of the team throughout the season, breaking up almost all of the opponent's attacks. Hamlin at center is a very fast man, while Pepper, at goal, has saved many scores for his team by remarkable stops.
