Professor George D. Birkoff '05, professor of Mathematics at the University, will give the third of his six lectures on the origin, nature, and influence of relativity at 8 o'clock this evening in the Lowell Institute Boston.
Tonight Professor Birkhoff will speak on the old and new theories of gravitation. His last three lectures will come on Friday, December 14; Tuesday, December 18; and Friday, December 21.
