WILL CENTRALIZE P. B. H. ACTIVITIES IN NEW BODY

Moore Selected Chairman of Committee Which Will Eliminate Division of Directing Authorities

Professor E. C. Moore, chairman of the Board of Preachers, has been appointed by the President and Fellows of the University to the chairmanship of a joint committee, representing the faculty, and the graduate and undergraduate bodies of the University, to have general supervision of the Phillips Brooks House Association. The other members of this committee are: Professor G. G. Wilson, professor of international law, and G. A. Chase '96, professor of archeology, who will represent the faculty; Mr. George Wigglesworth '74, president of the Board of Overseers; Mr. Garry E. Huggins '01, of New York City; Mr. Arthur Beane '11, former graduate secretary of the association; and Mr. Walter H. Trumbull '15, all of whom will represent the alumni; and the undergraduate members, B. McK. Henry '24 and Gardner Cowles '25, president and treasurer of the association, respectively.

In the past the Phillips Brooks House Association has been governed by two committees and the undergraduate officers of the Association. One of these committees is appointed by the Corporation: the other is known as the Graduate Advisory Committee.

The new arrangement eliminates a division of the directing authorities of the Association, centralizes the responsibility in a single committee, and in no way destroys the student initiative in the affairs of the Association.
