1926 BLANKS ANDOVER IN FIFTH STRAIGHT VICTORY

Freshman Sextet Defeats Schoolboys 3-0 Making Season's Total 27 Goals to One for Opponents--Andover Presents Stiffest Opposition of Year

Playing the best hockey they have shown this year, the Freshman hockey team scored a 3 to 0 victory over the Phillips Andover Academy team Saturday afternoon at the Charlesbank rinks. The Freshmen have won five straight victories this season, piling up 27 goals to their opponents' one. Andover held the Freshmen to a single score in the first two periods, but in the last the Crimson players were able to make two more goals.

The first score was the result of a shot by N. S. Howe from left wing which bounded off the goal-tend's stick into the cage. Shortly after the beginning of the last period, E. W. Martin scored the second goal by a long shot from the middle of the rink while a few minutes latter, Captain Harding scored the final tally on a pass from Howe.

Andover had the best team that has faced the Freshmen this year. Their teamwork was mediocre, but they were fast and good at checking back.
