Trials in the debate for the Pasteur medal, which is awarded annually to the successful contestant in a debate upon a subject drawn from current French politics, will be held this evening at 8 o'clock in Sever 36.
The subject for the debate, upon which contestants are to speak for five minutes, is. "Resolved: That France is justified in her present policy of collecting reparations from Germany".
The judges for the trials will be Professor R. L. Hawkins '03 and Professor L. J. A. Mercier, Assistant Professors of French, and Mr. E. L. Raiche, instructor in French.
For this contest, from which six men will be chosen to compete in the final debate on the same subject, February 19, material is available at the desk of the Main Reading Room of the Widener Library.
