Letters to "The Editor of the CRIMSON" appear in the Communication Column. The statement which customarily preceeds them is reprinted for the information of new students:
"The Crimson invites all men in the University to submit signed communications of timely interest. It assumes no responsibility, however, for sentiments expressed under this head and reserves the right to exclude any whose publication would be palpably inappropriate".
As a clearing house of opinions the column supplements the impersonal editorial, giving every student an opportunity to state his views. Subjects of national and international interest are open to discussion as well as college questions. The possibilities are many; whether or not they are realized depends on the individual.
