Captain Brown of the University track team failed to place in the shot-put held on Franklia Field, Philadelphia, Saturday afternoon, the second day of the Pennsylvania-relay carnival. The event was won by R. G. Hills, a Princeton Freshman, with the distance of 46 feet, 5 inches. This result was not unexpected inasmuch as Hills has been a consistent performer with the shot for many years and gained a place on the 1920 Olympic team while still attending the Hill school.
