SUMMER POSITIONS OFFERED

Three Men With Knowledge of Motors and Sailing Needed for Work With Grenfell Mission

The Harvard Mission Committee has been notified of the need of three men for service in Labrador this summer. The Grenfell Mission wishes two men with knowledge of sailing and motorboat engines, while--the Reverend William Stride of St. Anthony, Newfoundland, also needs a volunteer with some experience in running engines.

The mission wishes the two men to take their motor-yawl, the "Northern Messenger", from Battle Harbor, on the Newfoundland Labrador to Harrington on the Canadian Labrador, a distance of about 250 miles. They will be needed for this work in the latter half of June, and, after taking the boat to Harrington will remain there throughout the summer as volunteer workers.

Dr. Stride wants a man, starting near the end of June, to serve as engineer on the chuck-boat with which he cruises during the greater part of the whole summer, along the 70 miles of New-foundland coast that comprise his district. During the cruising there will be a good deal of opportunity for fishing and shooting.

Any members of the University interested in these opportunities should see E. K. Merrill '24, member of the Harvard Mission Committee on Affairs of the Grenfell Mission, at 45 Winthrop street or telephone him at University 8743-J.
