This evening at 8 o'clock in Agassiz House, the Dramatic Club will present two plays, "The Intruder" by Maurice Maeterlinck, and "Phipps" by Stanley Houghton. Both performances will be private and will have no connection with the regular spring presentation, which will not take place until shortly after the Spring recess.
The plays will be given for the patronesses and members of the 47 Workshop, but special guests of Dramatic Club members will be admitted to the performance.
Two extremes of dramatic art are represented in these plays. "The Intruder", is a symbolic tragedy with settings by Donald Oenslager '23, coached by J. M. Brown '23. The second production, "Phipps", is a satiric comedy of English life, portraying the relations between an English lord and lady and their butler. It is coached by B. K. Little '23, while the settings are in charge of W. H. Wells '23.
