REACH TOURNAMENT FINALS

W. P. Dixon '25 and D. McK. Key '22 Win Matches and Advance to Las Bracket--Will Play Today or Monday

The semi-finals in the University squash tournament, held yesterday afternoon, furnished some of the best playing seen thus far on the squash courts, D. McK. Key '22 and W. P. Dixon '25 advancing to the final bracket as a result of two long and protracted bouts.

Dixon furnished the sensation of the day when he won a close but decisive victory from C. J. Mason Jr. '22. The score in games was 15-13, 15-16, 18-17, 15-10.

In the second match of the round Key clinched his title to the finals by a straight set victory over F. W. Crocker 1L.

The feature of the tournament has been the rapid rise of Dixon from an unknown quantity to the brilliant player of the late rounds. He was champion of Oxford University before coming to this country, and reached the semi-final round of the Class B Massachusetts State Tournament this winter.

In the title clash for the University trophy, to be held either today or on Monday, Key is favored to win because of his long experience in the game. He had valuable training before coming to college in addition to having played on the University team for the past two years. Dixon is primed for the battle, however, and should give his opponent a close struggle.
