What Princeton Thinks

Last night the Harvard hockey team opposed the Boston Athletic Association in a game which is interesting not because of its outcome or of the ability of the teams competing, but because of its purpose--to help in the raising of funds for the erection of the Baker Memorial Rink.

To help to perpetuate the memory of a great athlete and sportsman by means of the game which he loved best was an act of exquisite tact. Everything possible was done to preserve the Baker tradition--even the officials of the game were former associates of "Hobey's". But aside from the tribute to the individual the game was a courteous indication of good will to the University. The Princeton Triangle Club's performance for the benefit of the Harvard endowment drive, the Harvard hockey team's benefit game for the Baker Rink, are evidences of good feeling between the Universities which will increase the cordial relations of their graduates. --Daily Princetonian
