Asked how the company surmounted the obstacle of satisfying a man who might not care to wear a pair of shoes that had been worn by someone else, Mr. Read stated that every article of apparel rented was thoroughly cleaned after being returned, before it was rented again. Hats and shirts, as well as suits, are subjected to the most rigid cleaning treatment before being rented again, so that a person hiring a complete outfit receives apparel that is as good as new, at least as far as cleanliness is concerned.
