University Action

To the Editor of the CRIMSON:

On behalf of the Committee for University Action may I take this occasion to correct a possible false impression conveyed by your report in today's CRIMSON of a meeting held under its auspices Wednesday night?

The Chairman of the meeting was unfortunately unable to give your reporter an authoritative statement at the time that he called.

The Committee is especially anxious to make clear that it does not represent an organization of fixed membership but aims to promote the Catholic idea in all its aspects as well to Catholics as to those non-Catholics in the University who are interested.

It is not the purpose of the meetings organized by the Committee to discuss "Intellectual problems" in general but rather to show how the Catholic philosophy may be applied as a sovereign touchstone for the solution of all the questions which agitate the modern mind.

It should be understood that this movement does not emanate specifically from the St. Paul's Catholic Club, but that it has received the most cordial support from that organization. A. A. GKLINAS 3L.   Secretary
