DISCUSS JEWISH PROBLEMS IN GERMANY AND PALESTINE

Professors Elbogen and Ruppin Speak at Joint Meeting of Menorah and Zionist Societies

At a joint meeting of the Menorah and Zionist Societies in Phillips Brooks House last Saturday, Professor Isman Elbogen, now visiting the Institute of Religion in New York City, and Dr. Arthur Ruppin, an authority on the rehabilitation of Palestine, discussed various phases of the Jewish question.

Professor Elbogen spoke informally on "Condition of Students at Present in Germany," with special reference to the lot of the Jewish race.

Dr. Ruppin then spoke of the "Restoration of Palestine." He asserted that certain desirable racial characteristics of the Jew were in danger of dying out because of the absorption of the Jewish people into other nations, and that the only way of preserving these traits would be the removal of the Jews, as a nation, to some country, such as Palestine, where they would be isolated.
