SUBSTITUTES ROMP TO EASY VICTORY

Scores Touchdown on Opening Kick-Off--Rouillard, Hammond, and Pfaffman Also Tally--Numerous Substitutions

Aided materially by Churcill's brilliant 9-yard run-back of the opening kick-off for the first touchdown, the University substitute eleven found little difficulty in piling up 24 points against the sturdy Florida team in the Stadium Saturday.

The visitors failed to produce any sort of an effectual offensive, and it was chiefly due to the remarkable punts of Dickson, rather than to the work of the "Gator" line on the defence, that the Crimson eleven was held at mid-field during most of the second half.

Following Churchill's lengthy zig-zag run for the opening score, after which Hammond drop-kicked the goal, the Crimson soon obtained possession of the ball on Florida's 26-yard line when Pomeroy muffed a punt which Kunhardt fell on as Holder took out the Southern quarterback. The Hammond, Churchill, and Rouillard alternated running with the ball until two first downs were secured by short, consistent gains. Rouillard finally plunged through the left side of the Florida line for the second touchdown and Hammond kicked the goal. The Crimson did not score again until the second period when Hammond, after three line plays had been stopped short, sent over a 19-yard drop-kick which made the score 17 to 0 as the half ended.

Halted on Five-Yard Line

In the third period a Crimson advance was halfted on the five-yard line, and no further scoring was made until the first play of the last quarter. The ball had been advanced from Florida's 40-yard line and Pfaffman, who had been substituted for Spalding at quarterback, started from the eight-yard line and raced around left end to the corner of the field just over the goal line. He kicked the goal for the final point of the game.
