On Tuesday, September 6, Richard Perkins Parker '22, son of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Parker of Salem, was instantly killed in an accident at a landing field near Paris. The flight had been made from Strasbourg to Paris in safety, in a plane belonging to the company operating between Warsaw and Paris, when a miscalculation by the pilot caused the plane to crash about 200 yards from the landing field. Parker had completed his course last June and was on leave of absence for a year, intending to receive his degree with his class.
