MADAME CURIE

Not the least impressive of the impressive events in this week was the one enacted yesterday in Sanders Theatre when Madame Curie was welcomed to Harvard. For her, perhaps, it was but one more reception, yet we like to think it had a peculiar significance to her. The spirit of the Puritans who founded our University must have been akin to that which has enabled her to give the world of science so much.

Madame Curie leaves soon for home; we are proud to have had her here with us and hope that when she is fully rested she may continue for long her work of priceless value to science and inestimable usefulness to mankind.
