Playing all but errorless ball yesterday against St. Mark's at Southboro, the Freshman baseball team came through with a 5-3 victory. One error in the first inning was the only black mark against the fielding record of the team. In their batting game, the Freshmen were also strong, connecting with Knapp, St. Mark's pitcher, for ten hits. K. N. Hill, in the box for 1924, allowed only five hits, three of which were in the first inning, in which both nines did their heaviest scoring.

For the Freshmen, seven men went to the bat in the first inning, three of them coming home for runs, scoring mostly on the errors of their opponents. St. Mark's sent two men across the plate in their half of the first session. From then on, both teams settled down and after the fourth inning no player crossed the plate, nor was there at any time serious danger of the Freshmen losing their lead.
