As a result of the French oratorical competition held last night in the Paine Concert Hall. Hector Lazo '21 of Cambridge was awarded the Medaille France Amerique and the judges gave honorable mention to Richard Oscar Spero '22 of Boston, and Albert Ignatins Maguire '22 of Roxbury.
Lazo's speech on "L' Allemagne et les Reparations" was adjudged the best of the evening by Mr. William Rotch '01, President do I' Alliance Francaise do Boston, Professor James Goddes Jr. '80, of Boston University, and Professor Edward S. Sheldon of the University.
