DEAN FENN CHOSEN TO GIVE INGERSOLL LECTURE ON MAY 4

Subject of Talk, Which Is to Be Given in Peabody Hall, P. B. H., Is "Immortality of Man"--Open to Public

Dean William Wallace Fenn '84 of the Divinity School has been selected to give the Ingersoll Lecture at the University on the "Immortality of Man", on Wednesday evening, May 4, at 8 o'clock, in Peabody Hall, Phillips Brooks House. The public will be admitted to the lecture.

The Ingersoll lectureship was established in 1894, under the will of Caroline Haskell Ingersoll of Keene, N. H., to provide for one lecture each year at the University on the subject of Immortality. According to the terms of the bequest, the choice of lecturers is not confined to any one religious denomination.

Among the Ingersoll lecturers in the past have been William James '69, Josiah Royce '11, John Fiske, Dr. William Osler, and George Herbert Palmer '64.
