THE COLONELS RETURN

One of the features of the football season was the appearance of Centre College in the higher circles of intercollegiate athletics. The brilliant performance of Captain McMillin and his team-mates at Cambridge proved them to be worthy opponents. "It was a great game," said Percy Haughton; "one of the best I ever saw in the Stadium." The Southerners left behind them a reputation for clean play and sportsmanship that earned them a lasting welcome at Harvard. Now the wearers of the White and Gold again invade a northern field of sport; they bring a winning combination, a veteran team. This is the first year that Harvard--under the guidance of Coach Wachter--has accorded basketball the status of a regular sport. The game with Centre College is a fitting climax to a successful experiment.
