"Puppots of Fate," a powerful melodrama, is the main feature at the Modern, and Beacon Theatres this week, with Viola Dana in the leading role. The other leading, film is Barrie's stage success, "What Every Woman Knows"--made famous by Maude Adams; Lois Wilson and Conrad Nagel are seen in the parts originally taken by Miss Adams and Richard Bennett, respectively.
